We start this daily review with the NBA league where San Antonio Spurs defeated Cleveland Cavaliers by 99:95 in a derby match! San Antonio extended their series of victories at home to 32, after the match against the best team from the Eastern Conference. Tony Parker led his team with 24 points, Lenard scored 20, while LeBron James led Cavaliers with 22 points, while Tristan Thompson scored 19.
The fantastic Jimmy Butler scored 53 points for Chicago Bulls and allowed them to survive the match against the worst team in the league, Philadelphia 76ers, which managed to lead the game to extra time, but the Bulls won in the end by 115:111.
Golden State Warriors defeated Los Angeles Lakers by 116:98. Steph Curry scored 26, while Livingston added 17. In Lakers, Clarkson scored 22, Bryant didn’t have a good night, as he finished the match with only 8 points.
Memphis Grizzlies defeated Detroit Pistons by 103:101, after buzzer beater from Mario Chalmers, who finished the match with 25 points. Johnson scored 19 for the Pistons.
Utah Jazz lost at home against Sacramento Kings, by 103:101. Cousins scored 36 for the winning team, while Hayward scored 21 for Utah.
In Euroleague, four matches were played tonight. Khimky defeated Laboral Kutxa by 76:68, Anadolu Efes defeated Darussafaka by 84:71, Olympiakos lost at home against Brose Baskets by 77:72 and Real Madrid defeated Zalgiris by 92:86.
In English Premier League, Watford received two laureates for playing incredibly well in December. Odeon Ighalo was voted player of the month, while Watford manager Sanchez Flores was voted manager of the month. There is more interesting news from Premier League clubs – Manchester City landed their first reinforcement in the January transfer window, but it came as a huge surprise to everyone – Anthony Caceres, from Australian Central Coast Mariners, strengthened City’s squad for the fee of around 500 thousand pounds.

At European water polo championship for men four matches were played today. Hungary defeated Turkey by 20:5, Italy defeated Georgia by 21:1, Romania defeated Germany by 14:13 and Russia defeated Greece by 9:8.
At European water polo championship for women three matches were played today. Italy defeated Croatia by 31:2, France defeated Germany by 12:3 and Spain defeated Serbia by 21:6.
At European handball championship for men four matches were played today. Croatia defeated Belarus by 27:21, France defeated Macedonia by 30:23, Iceland defeated Norway by 26:25 and Poland defeated Serbia by 29:28.
